Your Garden Workshop includes

Every Oeco Garden Workshop is designed to provide a strong, secure and comfortable space that can be used throughout the year. Built using high-quality materials and professionally installed at your home, your workshop includes everything below as standard.

Fully Insulated Walls, Floor & Roof

Designed for comfortable year-round use, our Garden Workshops feature fully insulated walls, floor and roof.

The structural timber walls and floor incorporate 75mm Knauf RS45 thermal acoustic insulation, while the roof uses highly insulated panels incorporating 100mm PIR insulation. This helps retain warmth during colder months while also reducing external noise, creating a more comfortable environment for working, DIY projects and hobbies.

Complete Electrics Package Included

Every Garden Workshop includes a complete electrics package, giving you the lighting and power you need to start using your new workspace.

As standard, this includes an LED light panel, light switch, 4 double electrical sockets and a consumer unit, with all internal electrical wiring neatly concealed within the walls for a clean, professional finish.

The electrical installation is completed and Part P certified by a qualified electrician. We can also arrange the mains electrical connection from your home to your new Garden Workshop if required.

Free Delivery & Professional Installation

There’s no flat-pack building or self-assembly required. Your Garden Workshop is delivered and fully constructed on site by our professional installation team.

Installation is typically completed within 5–7 working days with minimal disruption, leaving you with a fully constructed garden workshop ready to use.

10-Year Structural Guarantee

For additional peace of mind, every Oeco Garden Workshop is covered by our 10-year structural guarantee, protecting against specified structural, material, corrosion and rot failures.

Relevant manufacturers' guarantees for components such as doors and windows are also passed on to you.

Secure Double-Glazed PVCu Doors & Window

Each Garden Workshop comes with premium anthracite grey PVCu French double patio doors and 2 wide-opening windows, providing plenty of natural light while maintaining excellent security and thermal performance.

A-rated double glazing and insurance-approved locks are included as standard, helping to keep your tools, equipment and belongings safe and secure.

Foundations Included

There’s no need to arrange an expensive concrete base before installation.

Our custom concrete pile foundations, galvanised steel legs and adjustable base plates allow your Garden Workshop to be installed on suitable level or slightly uneven ground. Raising the timber structure above ground level also creates a ventilated space underneath, helping protect the workshop against rising damp and moisture.

Choice of Premium External Cladding

Choose from a range of attractive, durable external cladding options to create a Garden Workshop that complements your home and garden.

Smoothgrain Composite – a contemporary, low-maintenance finish that is resistant to rot and insects and requires no staining, varnishing or painting.

ProClad Woodgrain Composite – combines the appearance and texture of natural timber with the durability and low-maintenance benefits of composite cladding.

Thermowood Timber – beautiful heat-treated natural timber with rich brown tones and excellent durability that can be left to naturally weather over time.

Western Red Cedar – a premium natural timber renowned for its distinctive colouring, character, natural durability and attractive appearance.

Substantial Timber Frame Construction

At the heart of every Oeco Garden Workshop is a substantial timber frame designed to provide strength, stability and long-term durability.

Our heavy-duty construction creates a robust workshop suitable for regular everyday use, whether you're working on DIY projects, maintaining equipment, enjoying a hobby or simply need a dedicated workspace away from the house.

Strong OSB-Lined Interior

The internal walls are lined with robust OSB timber board, creating a strong and practical workshop interior.

Unlike lightweight internal wall finishes, OSB is ideal for attaching shelving, tool racks, hooks, cupboards and storage systems. It can be left with its natural timber appearance or painted to create the finish you prefer.

Heavy-Duty Workshop Flooring

Every Garden Workshop has a substantial timber floor structure covered with industrial-grade, moisture-resistant 18mm tongue-and-groove timber floor boarding.

This is then finished with heavy-duty laminate flooring, providing a durable, attractive and easy-to-clean surface that's ideally suited to everyday workshop use.

Breathable, Weather-Protected Construction

Our insulated Garden Workshop walls incorporate a high-performance waterproof breathable membrane designed to prevent external moisture from entering while allowing natural moisture within the structure to escape.

Ventilated wall construction also encourages airflow behind the external cladding, helping protect the building and reduce the risk of damp, mould and condensation.

Insulated Roof, Guttering & Drainage

The highly insulated single-pitch roof is designed with a gentle fall towards the rear of the workshop, allowing rainwater to flow directly into the black PVCu guttering and downpipe.

Anthracite roof trims and fascia boards complete the building and provide a clean, contemporary finish.

10 Benefits of Owning a Garden Workshop

A dedicated garden workshop gives you much more than somewhere to store your tools. It creates a practical, comfortable and secure workspace just a few steps from your home – with the flexibility to use it for DIY, hobbies, repairs, crafts and much more.

1. A Dedicated Space for Your Projects

Create a permanent workspace where you can work on DIY, woodworking, repairs, crafts or other projects without taking over the garage, kitchen or spare room.

2. Keep Your Tools & Equipment Organised

A garden workshop gives everything its own place. Add shelving, workbenches, cupboards, tool racks and wall storage to create an organised workspace where your equipment is always close at hand.

3. Free Up Valuable Space in Your Garage

If your garage has gradually become a workshop and storage area, moving your tools and equipment into a dedicated garden workshop can give you the garage back for your car, bikes or additional storage.

4. Enjoy Your Workshop All Year Round

Unlike a basic timber shed, a fully insulated garden workshop provides a much more comfortable environment throughout the seasons, allowing you to continue working on projects during colder months.

5. Keep Mess & Noise Away from the House

DIY and workshop projects can create dust, noise and clutter. Having a separate workspace in the garden helps keep your tools, materials and ongoing projects away from your main living areas.

6. Secure Storage for Valuable Tools & Equipment

Power tools, machinery and specialist equipment can represent a considerable investment. A secure garden workshop provides a dedicated place to keep valuable equipment protected and out of sight.

7. Create a Workshop Around the Way You Work

Design the interior to suit you. Workbenches, shelving, cupboards, tool boards and equipment can all be positioned to create an efficient workspace tailored around your particular hobbies or projects.

8. More Time for Hobbies & Interests

Having a permanent workshop makes it easier to spend more time doing the things you enjoy. There’s no need to repeatedly unpack equipment or clear everything away when you've finished – simply leave your project ready for next time.

9. A Versatile Space That Can Change With You

Your workshop doesn't have to remain a workshop forever. As your requirements change, the space could be adapted for hobbies, crafts, storage, a home office, studio or other uses.

10. Make Better Use of Your Garden

A quality garden workshop turns an unused part of your garden into valuable, practical space without the disruption and expense associated with extending your home.

Garden Workshop FAQs

1. Do I Need Planning Permission for a Garden Workshop?

In many cases, a garden workshop can be installed without planning permission under permitted development rights, provided it meets the relevant requirements for its size, height, position and intended use.

Planning rules can vary depending on your property and location, so we always recommend checking with your local planning authority if you are unsure.

2. Do I Need a Concrete Base for My Garden Workshop?

No. There is normally no need to arrange an expensive concrete base before we arrive.

Our Garden Workshops are installed using custom concrete pile foundations together with galvanised steel legs and adjustable base plates. This creates a strong, level foundation while keeping the timber structure raised and ventilated above the ground.

3. Can I Use My Garden Workshop All Year Round?

Yes. Our Garden Workshops feature fully insulated walls, floor and roof, helping create a comfortable environment that can be used throughout the year.

4. How Secure Are Your Garden Workshops?

Security is an important consideration when storing valuable tools and equipment.

Our Garden Workshops feature strong timber-frame construction together with anthracite PVCu doors and windows, double glazing and insurance-approved locks as standard.

5. Are Electrics Included With My Garden Workshop?

Yes. Every Oeco Garden Workshop includes a complete electrics package as standard, including an LED light panel, light switch, 4 double electrical sockets and a consumer unit. All internal electrical wiring is neatly concealed within the walls for a clean, professional finish, with the installation Part P certified by a qualified electrician.

If required, we can also arrange the mains electrical connection from your home to your new Garden Workshop.

6. How Long Does It Take to Install a Garden Workshop?

Most Garden Workshops are fully constructed on site within approximately 5–7 working days, depending on the size and specification of the building.

Our professional installation team takes care of the complete construction, so there's no flat-pack building or self-assembly required.

7. What Can I Use a Garden Workshop For?

A Garden Workshop can be used for DIY, woodworking, repairs, model making, crafts, hobbies, bicycle maintenance, equipment storage and many other activities.

The interior can be fitted with workbenches, shelving, cupboards, tool racks and storage to create a workspace designed around the way you intend to use it.

8. What Maintenance Does a Garden Workshop Require?

Maintenance will depend largely on your choice of external cladding.

Our composite cladding options require very little ongoing maintenance, while natural timber options such as Thermowood and Western Red Cedar can be allowed to weather naturally or treated periodically if you prefer to maintain their original colouring.

9. Can I Choose the Size and Finish of My Garden Workshop?

Yes. Our Garden Workshops are available in a wide range of sizes together with a choice of external cladding materials and finishes.

Choose from Smoothgrain Composite, ProClad Woodgrain Composite, Thermowood timber or Western Red Cedar to create a workshop that complements your home and garden.

10. Is Delivery and Installation Included in the Price?

Yes. Our Garden Workshop prices include delivery and complete professional on-site installation, so there are no separate builders or installation contractors for you to arrange.

Our experienced installation team will construct your new Garden Workshop at your property, ensuring everything is correctly installed and ready for you to start using and fitting out to suit your needs.
